I'm always amazed at how the Father chooses to encourage me when I'm feeling low. Sometimes it's a friend calling at "just the right time". Sometimes it's a "random" song on the radio. Other times it comes by opening up my Bible to "just the right page" during my daily devotion.

Tonight it came via my daughter writing a card to an adult friend of our family that she loves and looks up to; what she wrote is so beautiful and sweet and completely innocently sincere as only a child can be. Just when I think I've done nothing right in my life the Father shows me that I've done something right by showing me the beauty that I've had a hand in imparting to my daughter. These are the good times...

Matthew 19:14 "But Yeshua said, "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

A new look

So my blog got a makeover...whaddya' think??? I love it!!! I'm probably like the last blogger alive to discover all the free blog templates available online. It's going to be tempting to change to a new one everyday but I think I'll stick with the owls for a while...they're so stinkin' cute! Hoot! Hoot!

Thanksgiving was a wonderful time...we had some of our favoritest friends over and after eating way too much just enough, we sat around the bonfire watching the children play and then came inside for some Wii fun. As much as I love playing the Wii, it also makes for a great spectator sport! There's nothing funnier than watching people stand on the balance board, flapping their arms like wings trying to keep their Wii bird from crashing!

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of this long weekend. 2012 will be here before we know it!

A day of thanks

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! May your homes be full of food, fellowship and love this day. And may the thankful spirit in each of us extend well beyond just this one day.

Psalm 118:1 "Give thanks to Elohim, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting."

I'm back!

Yeah, so it's been a while. Just three days short of 6 months to be exact...but, hey, who's counting?!

In the last six months events happened that very easily could have rocked my world. (as it was, they definitely shook it up a bit!) Now, that I'm on this end of things, though, I can honestly say it was a growing experience that contained many, many blessings. I CHOOSE to see and remember the really is a choice.

Strong Enough is a song that really ministered to both my husband and I through the storm. Without my Heavenly Father I would have never made it through with my sanity or my family intact. He deserves all the praise I could possibly give Him and more!

So now that life has settled down a bit, I hope to be back to blogging on a more regular basis.

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares Yahweh, "plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope."
