So here's a quick Father's Day card I made last night. I've been playing around with a few "new to me" techniques. Some I'm loving and some...not so much. And some, like the one here, I'm loving but needing some more practice on! I used my Perfect Pearls Mists for the first time on this card. This card started out as a bright white piece of cardstock; I sprayed perfect pearl on it just to tone it down some and give some shimmer. That part worked fine. But then I decided to add the sentiment flag at the bottom and wrote the sentiment BEFORE spraying the Perfect Pearls. DON'T DO THIS! See how my ink ran? Since I had already completed the WHOLE rest of the card I decided to go with it and just call it a "distressed technique". And, since my Dad loves me a WHOLE bunch, I bet he won't mind!
- pre-cut white card base
- craft cardstock
- tree image from Basic Grey stamps "critters 'n treats"
- red buttons from my stash
- brown ink from Studio G
- Perfect Pearls Mists "perfect pearl"
- pop dots
I'm going to do something with this card I've never done before. I'm LINKING UP to a challenge! I'm linking up to the Father's Day Challenge over at More Than Favors: Wacky Wednesday. You should, too!
